Bio
My name is Brett Mason and I am an artist. Actually, I wish I could sum up what it is I do exactly. It seems to become more difficult everyday. I am a creator,thinker,father, and seeker of the unknown. I draw,paint,doodle,humor,strum...I go where inspiration leads while trying to remain grounded to the positive and energizing. This has lead me meandering the beaches of California selling works of art, on stage in New York's east village singing songs, and most recently, running in the Boston marathon. I try to set a good example and inspire everyone to do what they love.
Brett and Tracy Loves Ray
Theresa approached me about designing a cover for “Tracy Loves Ray”, a book that was inspired by a song. Combining elements of visual art, creative writing and music couldn’t be wrong. I never pass up a chance to get creative.
My task was to illustrate an overpass bearing the words “Tracy Loves Ray”, that would be a visual for the concept of the story. The drawing is a simple pen and ink meant to focus on the very idea of one’s affection for another.
I’m always grateful to have the opportunity in being part of someone’s creative work and I thank Theresa for that chance in “Tracy Loves Ray”.
