To take a song that touched our hearts and make it into a movie that touches the lives of many.

Our Process
With love and passion and a few lively discussions, we resolved to write a book based on the song "Tracy Loves Ray" by Jay Hitt. After we market the book and make it a best seller, we will then market the screenplay to make it into a movie.

Our Progress
The book Tracy Loves Ray has been completed and is available for purchase. On this web site, follow the progress of turning a song into a book, a screenplay, and finally into a movie. Our Project Journal will detail the journey.

This project is a labor of love. Something clicked many years ago when Glenn heard the song "Tracy Loves Ray" for the very first time. It didn’t take long until he envisioned that a movie should be made based on the song and that he needed to be a part of the process. A little while later Glenn decided to bring his daughter and son into the project. The three decided that Theresa would write the book and Cary would write the screenplay. Cary would lead meetings and be in charge of planning, managing and marketing. Of course, as the executive producer (AKA the money man) Glenn would have final say on all decisions. Some roles have changed but the project still remains within the family.

The writing and publishing of the book Tracy Loves Ray is complete. Soon, we will begin writing the screenplay. We decided to write the screenplay immediately after completing the book to minimize the differences between the book and the movie and to keep the project, as a whole, true to the song. We are finding that as we write the book we are automatically thinking about it playing out as a movie.
